April Blog

We are nearing the end of what has proven to be a long school year for staff, students, and parents. The global pandemic has taken its toll on everyone at some level, health, financial, and education. We started the year not knowing what the school year would bring. But as you can see the Harry Sayers Community has shown resilience, calm, and kindness. Our students have done well with the temporary changes of routines, and together we have kept everyone safe. I would like to thank all staff and parents as truly takes a village to raise a child.

As we look ahead to the coming year, we will need to focus on student and staff wellness along with the basics of reading, writing, and math. As we went through the school year, more students were needing extra help to catch up with their academics as well as more students were needing an even more supportive and caring adult to share their worries. Although the school has been working on Emotional Wellness and academics we are not done. As we go into the summer months and warmer weather we can look forward to more joy and fewer restrictions in our community. But until then stay safe by following the PHOs.
