Parent Evening Series #6 (extended): Understanding and Mitigating Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

May 29 2024, 7 - 8:30pm
Clayburn Middle School (35139 Laburnum Ave)

The District Parent Advisory Council (DPAC) and the school district are excited to launch a new parent series this year. Intended to empower parents/caregivers with practical insights that can enhance their understanding and ability to guide their children through the complexities of today's world, we've partnered to bring in high-quality speakers and industry leaders for the 2023/24 school year.

Session #6 (Extended): Understanding and Mitigating Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)

Continuing our commitment to supporting parents and caregivers, this session builds on the success of our previous Parent Night held on May 8th. While our last event focused on mental health awareness, this session delves into the specific topic of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and their impact on development and well-being. In partnership with Fraser Health, join us to gain valuable insights and practical strategies from our presenters, Abigail Kapting’ei, PACEs Community Health Specialist, and Nicci Allen, Healthy Schools Nurse, to foster resilience and support positive childhood experiences.
