Intellectual Development

Our students will learn key academic skills - like reading, writing and math - to encompass the knowledge and processes associated with intellectual development. As learners and meaning-makers, students take subject-specific concepts and content and transform them into a new understanding.

Goals

  • Improve student success in literacy.
  • Improve student success in numeracy.

Stop, Drop, and READ! Students at Harry Sayers taking time out of the day to drop everything and read.

There is more to math learning than just pencil and paper tasks. Here students are exploring the concept of measuring using an alternative way to measure.

At Harry Sayers we love to engage in Hands-on learning! Whether it is camping inside the classroom, learning to play the drums, learning Indigenous games, or participating in the annual Science Fair, there is hands-on learning happening all around the school.
